Lewisdale Students Have Fun in the Sun
MAY 9-10 • All Day
Lewisdale Elementary School • 2400 Banning Place, Hyattsville
The YMCA Physical Healthy Driven Van will get the students at Lewisdale ES moving by bringing out the old-school playground games and innovative new equipment. Students will also learn about beneficial and harmful foods.

Northup Grumman Corporation Visits PGCPS

Engineers from the Northrup Grumman Corporation will visit Columbia Park ES and share with students activities related to engineering and get them excited about technical professions. Columbia Park ES will also receive a grant to be used to enhance the schools math and science programs.

Special Olympics Challenge Day

Challenge Day is designed to provide an opportunity for students with severe or multiple disabilities to demonstrate their personal best. The program is part of the Special Olympics Motor Activities Training Program (MATP) that emphasizes training and participation rather than competition.

Students Perform at Shakespeare School Festival

PGCPS, Disney, and KaBOOM! Build a New Playground

More than 200 volunteers from Deerfield Run ES PTO and PGCPS will join Disney VoluntEARS, organizers from KaBoom! and residents of the Laurel community to build a new playground and learning garden at the school. The new playground’s design is based on drawings created by children who participated in a Design Day event in March.

2011 Spring Carnival at Kingsford ES
