Bowie Police say they've been looking into the area of 6th Street in Old Bowie since January after neighbors complained of disorderly behavior, drug use and noise. Since then, officers have made multiple arrests and conducted additional area checks.

There have been two community meetings in the neighborhood this month. One was about the complaints and the other was an update on the King homicide.

Bowie Police say they're working with community leaders to form a group to address problems surrounding Old Bowie. Police also say they're assigning extra overtime units to Old Bowie.
