On Tuesday, February 28th, Senator Verna Jones-Rodwell of the 44th Legislative District will host Maryland’s First Annual Statewide Community Re-Entry Symposium. The event is from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the President’s Conference Center of the Miller Senate Office Building.

Join us as close to 300 guests representing public agencies, community-based nonprofits, faith-based organizations, educational institutions, labor unions, judicial systems, families and formally incarcerated persons and others from across the State as we explore and discuss the many issues associated with the re-entry community.

Guest speakers include, Amy Solomon, Senior Advisor to the Assistant Attorney General Office of Justice Programs with the U.S. Department of Justice, and Gary Maynard from the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. There will also be a panel of experts to address effective re-entry strategies that impact youth, women, housing, family and community reconnections, behind the fence programming, health care access, legislative remedies, and employment.
